Strikeforce officially announces that Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson will defend his title against former champ Gilbert Melendez at Strikeforce's August 15th event. The event is also to feature Gina Carano vs "Cyborg" Santos and likely to face Brett "The Grim" Rogers against Alistair Overeem, the Strikeforce Heavyweight Champion.
