Stanford QB supreme/BMOC Andrew Luck has made it clear how stupid he believes the “suck for Luck” campaign is. And I’m not sure how much I’ll ever believe that NFL teams are really even intentionally sucking in order to take the most sought after signal caller in college football.
I think the sucking just comes naturally. That said, we were among the first to explore this concept back in the offseason. Here’s our initial study in June.
But a lot has changed since then so let’s look at who’s #1 in the race for the #1 pick in the NFL Draft derby.
1. Indianapolis Colts (0-7) They have one more loss than every team in the NFL, but that’s not the only reason they lead off my “powerless ranking.” The long term health of franchise QB Peyton Manning is very dire, even if you happen to hear better news in the short term. Although what definitive good news have we heard about his health? It’s also painfully obvious that Curtis Painter, who did his college football just up the road at Purdu...

The biggest hit to Andrew Luck's Heisman Trophy campaign might come from his own teammates.
Stanford's running game has quietly been one of the nation's best the past few years despite often being overshadowed by Luck's passing. But after setting a school record with 446 yards rushing in a 65-21 throttling of former No. 22 Washington, the Cardinal running backs now...
Dolphins have made another move towards landing Andrew Luck. Today they put Sage Rosenfels on the IR and signed JP Losman. This move clearly helps the Dolphins as now they are just one big hit away from having Losman as their starting QB.
Move after move, the Dolphins organization has made really would make you think they are trying to land the first pick of the NFL draft next year...
In a move that could prove unpopular with his coach, San Francisco 49ers nose tackle Ricky Jean Francois said Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck's sky-high NFL potential will drop if he has to play a Southeastern Conference defense in a bowl game.
Halfway through the season and Stanford QB supreme/BMOC Andrew Luck is seeing his draft stock remain just as high as it was last spring. He’s told the media how dumb he believes the “suck for Luck” campaign is. Are NFL teams are really even intentionally sucking in order to take the most sought after signal caller in college football?.
Maybe. We explored this concept back...
Last Saturday night was not a nightmare. It really happened. Stanford actually ran for over 400 yards and barely needed Andrew Luck to absolutely boat-race the Huskies out of Palo Alto with a 65-21 drubbing. But with a win on Saturday night against Arizona, the Huskies can turn last weekend’s farce into just a loss.

Just when you thought college football was becoming predictable a wild Saturday night changed everything. Michigan State stunned unbeaten Wisconsin with a last second prayer and Texas Tech shocked the Sooners in Norman. How would that affect the Heisman race? Wisconsin's Russell Wilson was second place in last weeks poll and trailed leader Andrew Luck by a very slim margin...
Jason Green gives us 5 reasons why the Washington Huskies were defeated by the Stanford Cardinal on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011. To start Stanford RB Stepfan Taylor rushed for 138 yards with a TD and Tyler Gaffney rushed for 117 yards and 1 TD and each averaged over 13 yards per carry. Heisman favorite Andrew Luck had a great game too.
