If you're making the salary of an average American adult, justifying buying tickets for the Super Bowl can't be an easy thing to do. Sure, it's once-in-a-lifetime experience, but is it worth the price of a trip to Australia just to get inside the stadium rather than watch on TV?  The good news is that ticket prices are down a bit this year. The Giants and Patriots were, unsurprisingly, a bigger draw than the 49ers and Ravens. The San Antonio Business Journal notes that, as a result, there's been a 20 percent drop off.  The bad news is that you're still going to have to spend at least $1,000 for a single ticket, best-case scenario. The average price for a ticket to this year's game in New Orleans is currently $3,403, according to TiqIQ. The cheapest ticket there is $1,776. At StubHub, it's $1,800. If you're crazy or rich enough to spend money on something like this, I'd recommend waiting a few more days because prices have dropped since late last week and vendors might soon get desperate (as thus less greedy). I'd have most trouble buying tickets because of the principle. Don't gouge me, man. Take a look at how much the face value of Super Bowl tickets has inflated since 1967 (via CBS News):
