From the Walla Walla Sweets
WALLA WALLA, Wash. – The Sweets have signed two more players to West Coast League contracts for the 2012 season. Luke West, a University of Utah sophomore, and J.J. Robinson, a high school senior, are headed to Walla Walla to play baseball for the summer.

Luke West, a 6-foot 5-inch, 210-pound, right-handed pitcher is a native of Sandy, Utah. He graduated from Juan Diego High School in 2010 after helping lead his team to back-to-back state championships in 2009 and 2010. As a senior he had a record of 7-2 with an ERA of 2.00, and hit .411 with 17 RBI, five doubles and four home runs. West was named first-team all-state during his senior season. During his freshman season at Utah, West went 1-0 with a 2.51 ERA in 14.1 innings pitched.
