‘Take me out’ to new summer collegiate baseball team in The Woodlands

From Your Conroe News Montgomery County baseball fans may no longer have to drive to Houston’s Minute Maid Park to watch quality baseball as a minor league collegiate team is coming to The Woodlands’ back yard. Ramiro Lozano, of Spring, purchased a Texas Collegiate League baseball franchise in The Woodlands in January. The league is seven years old, features seven teams and allows collegiate players, including top local prospects, to play over the summer to attract major league scouts. ^^^ More than 150 league players have been drafted by Major League Baseball, including Hunter Pence, Clay Bucholz and Brandon Belt. “It’s exciting for the community and for the local players.
