The strange turn of events surrounding Tampa Bay Buccaneers QB Josh Freeman just seem to continue. The team named rookie QB Mike Glennon the starter this week after benching the veteran. Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network is reporting that Freeman will be inactive this afternoon as the Buccaneers host the Arizona Cardinals.
Rapoport stated that the team made the move to make him inactive for today’s game after Freeman missed at least one, maybe more team meetings this week. Reports leading up to his benching suggest that he overslept for a team meeting earlier this season and head coach Greg Schiano told reporters that Freeman has missed other events.
This situation has gone from bad to worse this week for Freeman. Many reports suggest that he wants to be traded prior to the trade deadline, but given his salary and if these reports of him missing team meetings and events turn out to be true, other teams will likely pass on a trade for Freeman, even if the asking price is ridiculously l...
