If Louisville is playing with a chip on its shoulder, Cardinals coach Charlie Strong has to be pleased with the results.

University of Louisville men’s basketball coach Rick Pitino said junior Russ Smith has improved drastically in the past week. Smith showed he was more under control and better all-around in an exhibition victory over Pikeville on Thursday.
