On Friday Team USA played without aggression and let Canada hang around for half, before blowing it open in the second half. Today vs Lithuania they came out focused from the tip. USA took a 47-26 lead at the half, and breezed through the 2nd to a 100-60 win. Marcus Smart (Oklahoma State) led the US with 18 points, while Justise Winslow (High School) had 15 points and 9 rebounds. USA has now faced eight opponents, and seven of those games have been won by at least 25 points. The only exception is Serbia (7-1) who lost to Team USA by nine, and is the team the Americans will face in tomorrow's FIBA U-19 Final. Serbia features 6-11 Nikola Milutinov who plays professionally in his home country, as well as 6-8 Nikola Jankovic who reminds some of Kevin Love at the same age. But their star so far in this tourney is Visilije Micic who is projected as a late first rounder in the 2014 NBA draft. Micic, a 6-5 point guard, has averaged 12.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 4.1 assists. He's made half his 2s and 37% of his 3s. Micic vs Smart will be the matchup to watch from the getgo. The Gold Medal game will be broadcast on ESPN3 at 2:15 EST Sunday.
