Fox's Terry Bradshaw told USA TODAY Sports on Monday that he's "so sorry if I hurt anybody and I'm shocked I'm in this position." Bradshaw is talking about something he said during Fox's NFL studio show Sunday as he called highlights of the first half of the Miami-Indianapolis game. During a clip of Miami's Reggie Bush running for a score, Bradshaw said it was "like he was chasing that bucket of chicken the wind was blowing." Bradshaw says he wasn't even aware he said "he" -- referring to Bush -- when he meant to say "you" as a reference to fellow Fox NFL studio analyst Jimmy Johnson. "I can't defend myself," says Bradshaw. "I've never been in a situation like this. I don't know how to react, except to apologize for something I didn't know I said. I've been upset today. It's not me. I'm shocked." Bradshaw said the comment was just part of a running joke Sunday that Johnson's "big thing is chicken, Kentucky Fried Chicken. He won't share it with anybody." And the comment, says Bradshaw, had nothing to do with Bush specifically. "I always include the (other Fox on-air guys) in the highlights because it's fun. ... It could have been with a highlight about anybody. You never know what's going to come to mind when you do these things so quickly." Source: Detroit Free Press Attached Thumbnails

Bradshaw comment was 'inside joke'

Terry Bradshaw raised some eyebrows on Sunday when he said Reggie Bush was running like he was chasing a bucket of fried chicken, but he says the comment was all a big misunderstanding.

Terry Bradshaw Getting Fried Over Reggie Bush Bucket O Chicken Comment

He said what T? While showing a Reggie Bush touchdown run from the first half of the Dolphins-Colts game, Bradshaw commented that the Miami running back was “chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day,” leading to chuckles from Bradshaw and Johnson and an awkward groan from co-host Curt Menefee..I suppose he could’ve used a better choice of words...

Terry Bradshaw: Reggie Bush ‘bucket of chicken’ joke was intended for Jimmy Johnson

Terry Bradshaw expressed remorse for a joke he made on Sunday while reading a halftime highlight of Reggie Bush scoring a touchdown. Bradshaw was describing a highlight of the Dolphins running back scoring against the Colts when he said to co-host Jimmy Johnson, “look at this Jimmy, like he was chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day.” “Oh boy...

Bradshaw: Reggie Bush running like he was chasing a bucket of chicken

During halftime of the early NFL games yesterday, Fox’s Terry Bradshaw made the comment that Dolphins running back Reggie Bush was running like he was chasing a bucket of chicken. During the highlight, you can hear Bradshaw say “Look at this Jimmy, like he was chasing that bucket of chicken that the wind was blowing the other day.” While the comment sounds extremely racist...

Bush breaks ankles for sick touchdown run

Tweet Remember when Miami Dolphins running back Reggie Bush used to routinely make defenders look silly at USC? Well, Reggie has still got it, as he proved on this sick move to shake the Indianapolis Colts defense for a TD: That’s as good a cut as you will ever see in football. I guess all that [...]

Terry Bradshaw Being Stupid And Racist, Part Always

I think Curt Menefee might want to take back what he told me about how he likes it that Terry Bradshaw is still doing the highlights for FOX. Curt seems shockingly not thrilled with Bradshaw’s joke about Reggie Bush running like he’s chasing chicken. In Terry’s defense… ha ha, just kidding. He’s indefensibly awful. [Via] The post Terry Bradshaw Being Stupid And Racist,...

Video: Terry Bradshaw on Reggie Bush run: “chasing that bucket of chicken”

I am thinking that Terry Bradshaw is wanting this one back, even though Jimmy Johnson and him thought it was absolutely hysterical. Curt Menefee? Not so much. Here is Bradshaw calling the highlight run of Miami Dolphins running back, Reggie … Continue reading →

Terry Bradshaw says Reggie Bush ran “like he was chasing that bucket of chicken”

Tweet Every so often a sports television personality makes a comment or joke that doesn’t go over quite as well as they initially planned. Fox NFL analyst Terry Bradshaw had one of these moments Sunday. When describing Reggie Bush’s impressive cutback run for a touchdown, Bradshaw appears to say that Bush was running like he [...]

Reggie Bush's 18-Yard Touchdown Run Harkens Back to USC Highlights (Video)

Reggie Bush jumped in a Deloreon and cranked it up to 55 miles per hour on Sunday. Bush has looked like a new player ever since he was traded to Miami, but against the Colts, he looked like his old self again when he stutter stepped his way to an 18-yard touchdown run. The only thing missing was his patented flip into the end zone. The Dolphins still couldn'...

Reggie Bush’s Stop-And-Start Touchdown Is Your Early Play-Of-The-Day Candidate

In today’s game against the Colts, Reggie Bush took a hand-off, hit the brakes, cut back to the middle, and scored a TD for his Dolphins. It’s the play-of-the-day so far. Doesn’t it remind you of his tenure at USC? [GIF via SB Nation]

Time to Vote…..for Dolphins mid-season grades

The Miami Dolphins are officially at the midway point in the 2012 season.  The Miami Dolphins currently sit at 4-4 an alone in second place in the AFC East, as well as one game back of the two AFC wild card spots.  The Miami Dolphins season has been a bit of a roller coaster as they started 1-3, then improved to 4-3 after a 3 game winning streak, only to fall back to .500 on Sunday...

Week 10 Rush Defense: Raiders of the Lost RBs

As someone who lives in Tennessee, I am forced into watching a lot of Titans games.  On the plus side, I get to see a lot of touchdowns, but they typically aren’t the kind everyone else in Nashville keeps hoping for.  While I wouldn’t say The Titans are the worst team in football, they definitely have one of the worst defenses and that means you should be starting Reggie Bush...
