The Cardinals found a couple of impact players (CB Patrick Peterson and LB Sam Acho) for the defense and special teams last April. They also found other contributors in the draft. Here is a look at the 2011 class of rookies for the Cardinals:
21-year old CB/PR Patrick Peterson came to the Cardinals in the first round. All he did was make the NFC Pro Bowl as a rookie. Peterson played in all 16 games for the Cardinals last year and he had 64 tackles, 2 interceptions, 13 passes defensed and 1 sack. He also returned 44 punts for 699 yards (15.9 avg) with 4 TD returns! The sky is the limit for Peterson.
21-year old RB Ryan Williams came to the Cardinals in the second round. He blew out his right patellar tendon before the 2011 season even began. He was going to push Chris Wells for P.T., but he’s way behind him now. Williams has a nice upside if he can get and stay healthy.
The Cardinals picked 23-year old TE Rob Housler in the 3rd round. He played in 12 games for the Car...

The Arizona Cardinals didn’t get good play out of the QBs in 2011
The Cardinals thought they solved all of their problems at QB after dealing for Kevin Kolb after the lockout was lifted. But, he proved to be brittle and somewhat ineffective when he did play as the Cardinals were only 3-6 in games he started at QB. Kolb played in 9 games (all starts) for the Cardinals last year and he completed 146 of 253 passes (57.7%) for 1,955 yards with...
Cardinals DE Darnell Dockett Shows Off Barrett Military Style Assault Rifle (Photos)
If you recall Dockett once had a Twitter meltdown after he almost took one of his guns to work (Darnell Dockett Almost Brings Gun to Cardinals’ Practice, Tweets To Let Us Know).
To my understand Dockett has his license, so he is withing his legal rights to own these firearms, but would it be safe to say that Dockett is trying to make up for something he is lacking by having such...
Former Arizona Cardinals Corner Williams Well Deserving of HOF Nod
When the announcement came out that former Arizona Cardinals cornerback Aeneas Williams was named a finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame, it came as no surprise to me. To some it sounded like a surprise, but I can’t see how? During his nine seasons in Arizona and his three seasons with the St. Louis Rams, Williams was one of the games most dominant corners. His...

Rams eyeing Arizona staff to fill needs
By Craig Morgan - FS Arizona, special to FS Midwest
The Arizona Cardinals wont endure as much personnel change as they did last summer when an astounding 51 players were signed. But that doesnt mean the men who manage personnel wont change.
Coach Ken Whisenhunt was non-committal at his final Monday press conference when asked if there would be any staff changes. That left the door...
