In an otherwise regrettable preview Friday, I called the Hokies "masters of rope-a-dope," and if I got almost nothing else right, at least I made that overture to the script that actually unfolded this afternoon in the rain: Tech may start slow -- as it always does -- and may look like a complete wreck on offense even in wins, as it did in last week's miracle comeback against Nebraska. But going on six years now into its reign over the rest of the ACC, when the rubber meets the road, it's always Tech on top.
