Roll call: LB David Hawthorne returned from a sprained medial-collateral ligament in his left knee. He was wearing a brace on his knee, and as coach Jim Mora said Wednesday, he's not ruled out for Saturday's exhibition game at Kansas City. Offensive lineman Cory Withrow was out with an undisclosed injury, and cornerback Travis Fisher watched practice and did not participate. Fisher has an injury to his hamstring.Just for kicks: T.J. Houshmandzadeh showed a case of happy feet during practice, attempting a field goal or three. Perhaps he watched Wednesday's episode of "Hard Knocks" on HBO where Chad Johnson Ochocinco kicked an extra point and kicked off to begin the second half.
