Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide will be heading to Washington on Wednesday, March 6, to visit with President Barack Obama to be honored for their 2013 BCS National Championship win over Notre Dame.  This is Alabama’s third trip in four years to meet the president and visit the White House.  In a press release, the White House stated Obama will “continue his tradition of honoring sports teams for their efforts both on and off the field by recognizing the efforts by the Crimson Tide to give back to their community.”  This is Nick Saban’s fourth trip to the White House, three times with Alabama and once with the 2003 LSU national championship team.

Alabama has an interesting sign posted in new weight room

At this point, we’ve basically run out of ways to say “Alabama is really good at this whole football thing.” That tends to happen after a team wins three titles in four years (let alone does it in the current climate of college football), finishes with three of the last four top ranked recruiting classes, and just graduated a class that won a staggering 50 games. So yeah...
