We don't have a ton of analysis to give out at this point or anything; it's still pretty early in the tournament, all things considered. It just seems like it merits mention for posterity's sake: at 1:53 p.m. on Sunday at Bethpage Black, Tiger Woods was getting absolutely annihilated by Ricky Barnes; Barnes is leading the field with ease at -11, and Tiger's only five strokes ahead of the basement at +3. As Darren Rovell noted, incredibly, the two players had the same odds to win the Open at the beginning of the day (10:1). We don't think betting on Tiger was very wise. Coming in to this year's tournament, Barnes was +50 in 10 rounds in U.S. Open play; now he's the owner of the 36-hole tournament record and four strokes ahead of the competition early in the third round. Again, just for posterity's sake: this is actually happening.
