Reiterating his desire to stay with the Braves, right-hander Tim Hudson told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he is willing to accept a hometown discount to re-sign with the team. He refuted a recent FOX Sports report that claimed He planned to test the free-agent markey.
"This makes me sound like I'm saying 'Screw y'all, I'm out of here,' which isn't the case at all," Hudson told newspaper. "I've said all along that Atlanta was the place I want to be."
Hudson, who missed most of the 2009 season while recovering from Tommy John surgery, went 2-1 with a 3.61 ERA in seven starts. In five seasons with the Braves, Hudson went 56-39 with a 3.77 ERA.
