Fight Hub TV:
Timothy Bradley defeated a top-tier opponent in Juan Manuel Marquez to retain his WBO welterweight strap Saturday at the Thomas and Mack in Las Vegas, Nev. and this time there was no controversy, despite Team Marquez trying to suggest otherwise in the split-decision result.
Bradley won via split decision with scores of 116-112 and 115-113, while Marquez took one judges scorecard with 115-113.
After a solid display of defensive fighting, Bradley out counter-punched Marquez, who is thought of one, if not the best counter-puncher in the sport today.
At the post fight presser Bradley looked like he took little punishment, while Marquez’s face showed he did take some solid shots from Bradley.
Despite Bradley (31-0, 12 KOs) being the official winner and the winner on the majority of media’s accounts, Marquez (55-7-1, 40 KOs) and his handlers discounted Bradley’s win saying the judges screwed him.
Marquez’s trainer took it a step further saying despite having an undefeated record; he reall...
BEST OF MAXIM
Nobody likes a split-decision, but unlike the controversial win Timothy Bradley received last year against Pacquiao, many believed he deserved this win over Juan Manuel Marquez. It’s tough to see any passionate athlete lose, and it’s clear Juan Manuel Marquez is very beat up over this loss.
We caught him leaving after the fight last night in a raw display of emotions.
Once again, Timothy Bradley's hand was raised in victory. Once again, he heard the boos.
The script was familiar enough Saturday night for Bradley against Juan Manuel Marquez. So, too, was the result.
Bradley did just enough to win once again, beating Marquez by split decision to remain unbeaten and keep his piece of the welterweight title.
"That win was my ticket to...

Starting with the post-fight press conference, Marquez and Beristain have been...
These are the results for the three main undercard fights to support the main event of Juan Manuel Marquez and Timothy Bradley:
Light heavyweight Sean Monaghan (19-0, 11 KO) dominated and stopped an out of shape Anthony Caputo-Smith (14-2, 10 KO) in the 3rd round a fight that in no way deserved to be on a pay-per-view undercard. Monaghan, a popular fighter from New York, was...

What to Make of the Bradley vs. Marquez Results & Their Current Standings:
Going into this past Saturday's showdown between welterweight rulers Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez, both men had question marks hanging around their necks. In June 2012, at the conclusion of Timothy Bradley-Manny Pacquiao, I paced swiftly up and down press row asking anyone in view how they had scored the fight. At the time, I could find only one person who had scored the fight for Bradley. As I walked through the doors of the MGM Grand’s media center, and into the post-fight press conference, Top Rank chief Bob Arum was already at...
Bradley vs. Marquez Results & Divisional Rankings Updates:
Timothy Bradley took home a close Split Decision victory over Juan Manuel Marquez on Saturday night in Las Vegas. With the win, Bradley reestablished himself after being tarnished by the controversial victory over Manny Pacquiao. So where do Bradley and Marquez now stand in the top 10 welterweight division rankings?
Okay, so no one actually called it the 'We Beat Manny Pacquiao' fight but me (not that I could find at least). That was what made this fight a little more unique. It's two combatants--Timothy Bradley and Juan Manuel Marquez--hold the distinction of being the only two fighters to defeat the PacMan (Bradley by decision and Marquez knocked him out).

According to the tale of the tape, Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, 40KO’s) was the taller fighter, the most experienced, the one with three times the amount of knockouts. He was going into this fight as the favorite, having just knocked out Manny Pacquiao (54-5-2, 38KO’s) and being considered one of the best counter punches in the business. Yet, right after the first bell rang...

Fight Pick & Preview - Alvarado vs. Provodnikov:
On Saturday, Mike Alvarado defends his WBO 140-pound laurels against Russian brawler Ruslan Provodnikov. This should be a special fight between two guys whose reputations are built on being blood-and-guts warriors. It’s good to see these two headlining a big HBO card, with the hard-bitten Alvarado earning a big payday in his...
