With Chris Johnson setting a franchise record with 228 rushing yards, the Tennessee Titans won their first game of the season 30-13 over the Jacksonville Jaguars. Vince Young had one TD pass on his way to a 15 of 18 for 125 game with another 32 on the ground and a 114.1 passer rating. The Titans defense also had their best game of the season sacking Jaguar QB David Garrard four times and intercepting him twice. The Titans held the ball for more than 39 minutes and outgained the Jaguars 430-330. Rob Bironas also had a big day with three FGs of 48, 25 and 45 yards.
