Former Hampton Roads high school basketball star and rising Duke University Blue Devil, Andre Dawkins' sister Lacey Dawkins has recently been announced dead after a tragic car accident in West Virginia on Saturday.
She was on her way to watch her brother's game against St. Johns at Duke. Lacey was 21 years old.
I covered Andre just a few short weeks ago and watched him light it up against Radford. I then watched him on ESPN show UConn and the rest of the Big East to watch out.
This post goes out to Andre, his family and friends, and all those involved in the accident, including Andre's biological mother, Tamara Hill.
