In what was one of NASCAR's most memorable weekends, Todd Peck returned from the Phoenix International Raceway with his best career finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Running in Friday night's Lucas Oil 150, the Pennsylvania native finished 18th in a wreck-filled event that featured plenty of action.
Racing the No. 08 Stopain/Arthritis Foundation Chevrolet for SS Green Light Racing, Peck came to the one-mile Phoenix oval for the first time in his racing career. One of the more difficult tracks on the NASCAR circuit, conditions proved to be more difficult by new pavement on the track. This made the surface extremely slick. This resulted in nine cautions and some tempers flaring in the 150-lap feature event televised live on SPEED Channel.
Peck was most impressive avoiding the carnage. Starting in the 33rd position, Peck quickly moved to 28th by Lap 20. Without a lot of time to waste, Peck continued to move forward and was up to 27th by Lap 30. It was soon af...
