Sometimes, listening to Dad doesn’t pay off.
Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo told his 13-year old son to pick his bracket “with his head, not his heart”. So when it got to the Michigan State vs. Duke matchup, Steven Izzo did just that – and picked the Blue Devils.
The Spartans coach did an interview on ESPN’s the Mike and Mike Show this morning, and expressed his feelings on the decision.
“The damn kid picked Duke.” “My son’s problem is whether he even eats at my house again.”
Today’s lesson? Kids, parents don’t always mean everything they tell you.
