Year after year the Eagles surprise us, whether it be with a first-round pick swap or a stunningly depressing selection. This year is assured to be no different. There is a lot of speculation as to what teams will move where, who will trade into the top 10, etc. It's a very real possibility that the Eagles will make moves. But who is worth trading up for? How much will it cost? Is it possible that we could trade down for value? Here's a little speculation of our own on what could possibly transpire in the hours of this Great Holiday. Okay, so maybe it's only speculation. We are the “dream” team after all, right?

Eagles trade Jaguars for 7th overall pick- Fletcher Cox, Defensive Tackle (Mississippi State)

It may cost the Birds a couple of 3rd round picks, but it could potentially be worth it. Fletcher Cox is perhaps the best DT prospect in this draft- He's 6'4, 298 lbs, and ran a 4.8 in the 40. If Cox is still available after the Ram's select with the 6th pick, it could behoove the Eagles to invest in what could be a long term plug in our defensive line.

Eagles trade Panthers for 9th overall pick- Luke Kuechly, Linebacker (Boston College)

Panthers have a few glaring needs, but may be willing to move back 6 picks in the draft for a few additional selections. Despite trading for former Texans' linebacker DeMeco Ryans the Eagles still have a need at linebacker and the 6'3, 235lbs Kuechly would be a great fit. With Ryans as his Sensei, Kuechly could easily develop into a great defensive leader and solid run stopper. The NFL is trending more towards tight end use, making the need for solid linebackers even greater.

Eagles trade Seahawks for 12th overall pick- Matt Kalil, Tackle (USC)

Matt Kalil is the best OT on this years board and a consensus top 5 talent. If the 6'7, 295lbs behemoth tumbles down the board , look for the Birds to strike. With the uncertainty surrounding Danny Watkins, coupled with Todd Herremans ability to play guard, we could enjoy a Runyan-like presence protecting our quarterback for years to come.

Every fan hates it when their team trades down. However it is a necessary evil in the process, and sometimes it is just better for the value depending on your needs. Trading up isn't always beneficial (looking at you, Mike Mamula..) and can cost a fortune. It all depends on what they have prospects rated and who's available; supply and demand, anyone? If Roseman can get a couple of extra selections to move down a few spots in the first round it could pay off. However, it just isn't as exciting as trading up. We have an idea what they could do with their own 15th pick.  Who would you like to see the Eagles move up to draft?
