The Arizona Republic's Nick Piecoro has the details of the Diamondbacks deal for Bob Howry. Howry will get between $2 and $3 million for the 2010 season. Arizona holds a team option for 2011.
The 36 year-old righty spent last season in San Francisco putting up solid numbers setting up Giants closer Brian Wilson. His 2009 3.39 ERA and 1.15 WHIP recalled his stellar seasons with the Indians and Cubs, rather than his underwhelming 2008 in Chicago. He's expected to set up Arizona closer Chad Qualls along with recently acquired Aaron Heilman
