Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo probably plays with more pressure upon his shoulders than any other quarterback in the NFL. Troy Aikman is a Hall-of-Famer, a legend in Dallas for all his productivity and has three Super Bowl wins. He’s also a big fan of Romo.
Aikman was on 105.3 the Fan, and said that it’s frustrating to him that people don’t give credit where it’s due for Romo.
“I’m a big fan of his and I’ve said it all along,” Aikman said. “He’s a special player. Unfortunately, not enough people recognize that.”
Aikman insist that the Cowboys are close, and that they can indeed win a Super Bowl.
“I maintain that they’re close,” Aikman said. “And I know that people keep asking, ‘Hey, can Tony Romo lead this team to a Super Bowl?’ And I believe that he can. It’s hard to do. Whether or not he ultimately does it or doesn’t, to me, isn’t really the primary thing. The main thing is you build this team, if you believe that he is capable of doing that, which I believe he is and I believe the Cowboys feel that way as well. Then, you can put the other pieces around him and you have a chance to be really good.”
I tend to agree with Aikman. Quarterbacks get judged on a lot of things that they can’t control. D
oes Romo have a tendency to make a crucial mistake? Of course. Is Romo put in poor situations by his head coach and offensive coordinator who struggle to recognize the blitz or under utilize the running? You bet he is.
The fact is we can’t totally judge Romo until he gets a complete team surrounding him.

Is the NBA All-Star weekend something to watch? I would say yes with a little bit of indecisiveness. The actual game itself is pointless, but can be entertaining. At this point is the baseball all-star game still the best around?
