The heat and humidity wasn’t the only miserable thing Tuesday night at Comerica, the all around Tigers performance was pretty unbearable in of itself.
In fact before the Tigers got their first hit off of Angels rookie starter Garrett Richards in the fourth inning, Los Angeles had already tagged Jacob Turner for seven runs in the first two innings on their way to a 13-0 victory.
The Angels combined for a total of 18 hits including five home runs on which was a bomb by Mike Trout that ended up landing in the concourse in right center field of Comerica Park. Mark Trumbo and Albert Pujols also had homers off the Tigers rookie starter while Kendrys Morales and Albert Callaspo each homered later in the game.
Tuesday night’s loss for the Tigers would also mark the first time since July 16th of last season that the Tigers would be shut out. The 158-game streak of scoring at least one run had been the longest in franchise history.
The big question though going forward is the possible market...
