Also featured on rotoprofessor.com! In an effort the strengthen their shortstop position, the Minnesota Twins have acquired Orlando Cabrera from the Oakland A’s for Tyler Ladendorf. Orlando Cabrera provides an immediate upgrade for the Twins at SS over Nick Punto or even Alexi Casilla at 2B, but won’t really see his fantasy value increase that much.  Batting .280 with four home runs and 41 RBI, Cabrera will most likely slot in the lower portion of the Twins’ batting order, compared to the second slot he occupied with the A’s.  While the A’s didn’t score too much (20th most runs in the majors), Cabrera really won’t be improving that much with the Twins because he won’t be batting in the top half of the order.  However, we can expect slightly more RBI, with guys like Span, Mauer, and Morneau with such solid OBP.  He’s also playing for a playoff spot, so he should be motivated.
