On Thursday Tyler Seguin celebrates his 21st birthday, and what better way to enjoy it than with a Bruins win. On Tuesday Seguin had the rare distinction of scoring twice during a shootout against New Jersey — his first goal was waved off after a piece of debris was thrown on the ice. Likewise, on Thursday against the Sabres Seguin expects the same kind of physical, tough game. The Bruins know that Buffalo has added some grit and toughness over the offseason, so expect some aggressive play on the ice. Check out everything Seguin had to say before taking on the Sabres in the video above.

Seguin forced to score second time in shootout

Tyler Seguin didn’t just score in the shootout for the Bruins on Tuesday night — he scored twice. After Seguin slotted home his first attempt to start things off for the B’s against the Devils and goalie Johan Hedberg, the referees  made Seguin do it over again. The reason? Someone had thrown something onto the ice while he was in the middle of his shot. Not one to get flustered...

Tyler Seguin’s Shootout Attempt Interrupted by Well-Flung Hot Dog (Video)

That piece of trash that almost took away Tyler Seguin‘s shootout goal on Tuesday night? It turns out it was a hot dog. While many of those watching the end of the Bruins’ solid shootout win over the Devils knew that something got tossed onto the ice when Seguin made his run at the goal, it took the trained professionals to slow down the video enough to glimpse just exactly what...

Video: Fan throws debris on ice during Boston/New Jersey shootout

Tyler Seguin scored two shootout goals in Boston's 2-1 victory over New Jersey. Unfortunately for Seguin, only one actually counted as the first was waved off after a fan tossed a piece of debris on the ice as he was shooting. While the trash didn't appear to interfere with the play, Seguin had to take his shot over again. He buried it - again - much to the delight of the...

According To His Dog, Tyler Seguin Was A Fireman For His 21st Birthday

A.B. As a dog lover I truly believe they are man’s best friend. Dogs are loyal and loving and are happy to see you every time you come home. That being said, dogs can also be bastards. Sometimes they rip apart your couch, sometimes they eat their own poop and sometimes they just won’t leave you alone. But Tyler Seguin’s brown lab has taken being a “bad dog’ to...

Tyler Seguin’s Birthday Celebration on Twitter Features Olympic Wishes, Emoticons Aplenty (Video)

Tyler Seguin turned 21 on Thursday, and he celebrated by playing against the Buffalo Sabres. He also celebrated with 200,000 or so of his closest friends on Twitter, with hundreds and hundreds of fans sending along well-wishes and the occasional marriage proposal. NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette dove into the Bruins forward’s mentions to find some of the best. Check it out in the...

Tyler Seguin Scores Twice In Shootout Due To Fan Throwing A Hot Dog

A.B. Clearly this Bruins or Devils “fan” needs to be banned from the TD Garden for the season, if not for life. But I’m not mad at the drunken bastard. Anytime I get to see Tyler Seguin get an extra shootout attempt is cool with me. If the Seguin didn’t score the second time around, maybe I’d feel differently but he did. So relax Bruins fans, Tyler just got a little more...

Fan throws debris on ice during Boston/New Jersey shootout

Thomas Vanek Plays ‘Party Pooper’ Against Bruins With Five-Point Game Spoiling Tyler Seguin’s Birthday (Video)

Tyler Seguin‘s big night didn’t have quite the party it could have, as the Bruins fell to the Sabres 7-4 on the Bruins forward’s 21st birthday. Thomas Vanek was a big reason why, as the Bruins killer struck again. This time, he notched three goals during a five-point night that saw momentum swing after momentum swing finally wear down the B’s. Boston’s first loss at home...

Sausage Fest

Tuesday night’s shootout victory over the Devils could have ended in horrific fashion for the Bruins. If Seguin wasn't filthy when no one else is on the ice and had missed his “second” breakaway attempt the B’s would have only received one point and lost the game. In a bizarre turn of events a spectator felt the need to hurl a sausage sub at Johan Hedberg while...

Vote: Is Phil Kessel for Tyler Seguin and Dougie Hamilton the Best Trade in Boston Sports History?

Any time the Bruins travel to Toronto, Peter Chiarelli must have a tiny smirk on his face. In September of 2009 Chiarelli, sent forward Phil Kessel (and his six million dollar contract) to the Leafs for their first-round picks in 2010 and 2011, with a second-round pick tossed in for good measure. The next year, Boston drafted former Plymouth Whalers forward Tyler Seguin with the...

Sabres-Bruins Preview

Even a foreign object couldn't slow down the Boston Bruins, and it's been almost two years since the Buffalo Sabres have managed to do it at TD Garden. The Bruins go for their longest season-opening home winning streak in over 22 years Thursday night when they try to continue their success against the Sabres. Boston (5-0-1) has been one of the NHL's best teams this...
