Tyrann Mathieu has been through a lot these past few months, all due to his own ignorance. Mathieu was arrested with former LSU teammates last week and charged with the intent to distribute marijuana. Pro Football Talk is reporting that Mathieu, who is trying to prepare for the NFL Draft and get away from negative influences, has moved to Florida and into the home of former LSU teammate and current Arizona Cardinals cornerback Patrick Peterson. Jennifer Hale of KVUE broke the story on Twitter. Confirmed: Tyrann Mathieu escaping negative influences in LA, staying w/good friend Patrick Peterson’s family in S Florida for a new start. — Jennifer Hale (@JenHale504) November 2, 2012 Peterson and Mathieu are close friends. Mathieu even changed his number to 7 after Peterson left Baton Rouge for the NFL. Here’s hoping a change of scenery for Mathieu, as this can hopefully save his life and his career.
