The tradition of championship sports teams visiting the White House dates to 1925, when the World Series champion Washington Senators stopped by to hobnob with then-President Calvin Coolidge. In the decades since, hundreds of champion teams have come to the nation's capital to receive official congratulations. The visits haven't been entirely without controversy -- does anyone remember Flip-Flop Gate? -- but nothing compares to what happened Wednesday afternoon when the University of Connecticut women's basketball team dropped in to be honored by President Barack Obama . Like most college students, the Lady Huskies seem to love a good ol' fashioned photobomb -- which must be why junior Stefanie Dolson and sophomore Kiah Stokes busted out a pair of bunny ears for the Commander in Chief to sport during the photo-op. (Confession: Were I ever in a similar situation, I probably would pull the same stunt. Sorry in advance, Barack.) Luckily for these ladies, the President took the good-natured prank in stride and didn't turn them over to the Secret Service. Could you imagine having to explain your way out of whatever crazy basement interrogation room they have beneath the White House? Yeah, me neither.
