Main Card Cain Velasquez def. Antonio Silva via first-round TKO : Pure domination by Cain once again. It’s a truly incredible act, considering the insane size difference in the fight. Bigfoot just couldn’t get anything going once again and Cain was able to time the big man looking to shoot in, connecting with a HUGE uppercut that flattened Silva. Cain then finished him off with strikes on the mat. It can’t be stated enough: pure domination. Junior dos Santos def. Mark Hunt via third-round KO: JDS becomes the second man ever to knock out Mark Hunti n an MMA competition after a grueling three round war. Each exchange between the two heavyweights was met with gasps from the crowd and thuds from their fists, as knockout blows were thrown with reckless abandon. Truly awesome fight and a contender for fight of the year. JDS throws a spinning heel kick as time expires (of all things) and knocks Hunt flat on his butt. JDS then finishes him with some brutal ground and pound. Glover Teixeira...

UFC 160: Junior dos Santos Uses Spinning Heel Kick to KO Mark Hunt (Video Highlights)

Junior dos Santos (pictured) was a heavy 4-to-1 odds-on favorite to dispose of Mark Hunt on Saturday night at UFC 160. Dos Santos eventually did what he was supposed to do, but the former heavyweight champ did so in a manor nobody had ever seen from him before. “Cigano” rocked Hunt several times throughout their shootout with some vicious overhand rights, but that was to be...

Mark Hunt Fought with Broken Toe in KO Loss to Junior dos Santos at UFC 160

Mark Hunt (pictured) proved once again he’s got a chin made of granite after refusing to stay down after eating several bombs from Junior dos Santos at UFC 160 – before ultimately succumbing to a highlight reel spinning heel kick, of course. Unfortunately for Hunt, his toes are made of human bone just like the rest of us.  According to “The Super Samoan,” he broke one of...

Mark Hunt: From Gold to Old and Back Again

The prevailing opinion has never favored Mark Hunt.  Always fighting against the odds, Hunt has gritted his way through a tumultuous yet highly respectable career. He's never been the most technical fighter, certainly never the most athletic but always the toughest man in the room and the power in his hands could light a city grid. Mark Hunt is a journeyman. His path in combat...

Cain Velasquez vs. Junior dos Santos Trilogy Up Next for UFC Heavyweight Division

Most believed former UFC heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos punched his top contender ticket when he knocked out Mark Hunt on Saturday with a spinning heel kick. UFC president Dana White subsequently confirmed during the UFC 160 post-fight press conference that dos Santos will in fact face current champion Cain Velasquez for a third time. “No brainer,” White said of arranging...

Junior dos Santos hopes he doesn’t get booed again at UFC 160, and neither do we.

How can you boo JDS? Really, how can you? Did the entire arena that booed JDS at UFC 155 in his losing effort against Cain Velasquez realize they were booing: A. One of the nicest guys in the sport? B. One of the most hardworking? Or C. They were kind of booing for no reason? I can’t recall the last time someone got booed for getting beat up for 25 minutes. What a weird moment...

Mike Tyson Steals the Show at UFC 160 Weigh-in

The story Saturday night at UFC 160 in Vegas is the fight between two titans of the Octagon, Cain Velasquez and Antonio Silva. It's the look on his face when Khabib Nurmagomedov and Abel Trujillo squared off during the...
