Hot off the press (or in this case, Twitter)! The official event poster for “UFC 162: Silva vs. Weidman” has just hit the Internet. There’s really nothing too special about the billboard, but Chris Weidman probably won’t appreciate that it’s made in Anderson Silva’s trademark bumblebee colorway. Silva puts his middleweight crown on the line July 6 against arguably the biggest threat to his reign in Weidman.  A co-main event hasn’t been officially confirmed for the lineup, but it appears the scrap will not make it onto the ad anyways. MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the festivities. Here is the show’s current lineup: Preliminary Card: Norman Parke vs. Kazuki Tokudome Edson Barboza vs. John Makdessi Shane Del Rosario vs. Dave Herman Seth Baczynski vs. Brian Melancon Chris Leben vs. Andrew Craig Edson Barboza vs. John Makdessi Mike Pierce vs. David Mitchell Roger Gracie vs. Tim Kennedy Cub Swanson vs. Dennis Siver Frankie Edgar vs. Charles Oliveira Mark Munoz vs. Tim Boetsch Ricardo Lamas vs. “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung Chris Weidman vs. Anderson Silva (UFC middleweight champion)

And Then There Were Two Anderson Silva’s

Anderson Silva tweeted out this picture yesterday “Super training with my brother Sammy even though his sport and others.” I’m not sure what’s going on here, but I wouldn’t wanna step inside that octagon. Chris Weidman Q & A Silva vs Weidman poster

Chris Weidman Q & A

Listen to Chris Weidman as he talks to the fans in New Jersey before UFC 159.  Chris is right here, he is a bad match up for Anderson.  But let’s not forget that Silva is the greatest of all time.  People have thought that he would be over matched before and he has always come out on top.  Really excited to watch this fight and finally see if Weidman is as good as we think...

Sonnen wants to fight Wanderlei

Chael Sonnen hinted that he might be retiring following his UFC 159 loss to Jon Jones, but those thoughts didn't last for very long.

What the GSP/Silva/Jones Situation Has Taught Us

Even stranger than the idea of three unbelievably dominant UFC champions competing at the same point in history is the idea that each champion would only need to move up or down one single weight class to fight one of the only three people in the promotion who wins as much as he does. Just like there aren’t any welterweights who seem to have what it takes to defeat long-time...

Dana White Says Anderson Silva Wants A Superfight

UFC President Dana White knew all too well what he was doing by even throwing out the words that Silva called him directly after UFC 159′s Jones vs Sonnen beating. He was stirring the pot for a potential superfight vs Silva and Jones. In the post fight presser White wasted no time throwing that gem out there to get the anticipatory juices flowing for a possible Silva vs Jones...

Anderson Silva ‘Like Water’ documentary review

It is a rare occasion when you get an inside look at Anderson Silva. Like Water shows a fascinating backstory behind one of the greatest fights and fighters in UFC history yet still left plenty of unanswered questions about who Anderson Silva really is.

Jon Jones says Anderson Silva is still the greatest ever, letting the argument rest for a while.

Until they fight, which in my opinion, may never happen, the argument over the next few years will be Jon Jones vs. Anderson Silva. Over the last few years, I was convinced Anderson would have his way with Jones, but after watching Jones fill into a heavyweight frame and throw around Vitor and Chael around like kids, maybe Anderson wouldn’t fare so well against the 25-year-old...

Jon Jones Says Anderson Silva Is Still The P4P Best

Jon Jones has pretty much wiped the floor with some of the best fighters in the world.  Anderson Silva has too.  The debate will rage on until the Super Fight is made, but it looks like the young Jones has grown up a lot in a short amount of time.  When asked if he has surpassed Anderson on the P4P list and this is how he replied: “No,” replied the 25-year-old New Yorker....

Georges St. Pierre Stops By Tiger Muay Thai

UFC welterweight champ stops by the famous Tiger Muay Thai and takes this picture.  GSP is suppose to fight Johny Hendricks next but it has yet to be locked down because of the pending super fight with Anderson Silva.  We will all just have to wait and see what happens. GSP does book signing at Barnes & Noble Georges St. Pierre on the Joe Rogan Experience

MMA Manager Ed Soares Takes A Picture With A Fan

Ed Soares is seen here taking a picture with a fan at UFC 159 in New Jersey.  After seeing how well Jones looked against Chael I wonder what Soares thinks regarding his most high profile client, Anderson Silva, taking him on to determine who the true pound for pound king is. Ed Soares talks Machida, doesn’t think Silva can make 170 lbs Jones says Anderson Silva is still P4P best
