Cordell Broadus could continue the proud tradition of rappers’ sons playing college ball in L.A. The 2015 WR recruit and son of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg has just received an offer from USC, joining the ones he has received from Duke, UCLA, Oregon State, Washington, and Cal. RECRUITING NEWS: Cordell Broadus received an offer from USC today. #FightOn! — Coach Maine (@BrahmaFootball) April 18, 2013 For many years, Snoop was seen on the sidelines at USC games hanging out with Pete Carroll, until De’Anthony Thomas turned him into an Oregon fan. Seeing his son in cardinal and gold might bring him back to the Coliseum Cordell Broadus has missed the last month of 7on7 action with a knee injury but when healthy, he’s one of the top WRs out West — Greg Biggins (@GregBiggins) April 18, 2013 Broadus is the third 2015 recruit that USC has sent an offer out to this week, and for good reason. 2015 will be the year the sanctions are lifted on the Trojans, and that year’s class is expected to be loaded with top prospects. If USC wants to get back to a fully charged team of 85 players, the Trojans need to seize every opportunity that the Class of ’15 will offer them. So far, USC only has one 2015 commit, and that’s from QB David Sills, a.k.a. that guy Lane Kiffin recruited when he was 13.
