2009 NHL Awards heads to Las Vegas for first time NHL announces three-year agreement with Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority NEW YORK – The National Hockey League (NHL) today announced that its annual awards celebration will take place in Las Vegas June 18 and will serve as the inaugural event of a three-year agreement with the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA).
