SANTA CLARA - Coach Mike Singletary on Thursday did not rule out the possibility of someday adding Michael Vick to the 49ers' roster. But he said he hasn't spent a lot of time thinking about the controversial quarterback, either.
"I know it's out there, but I've really been thinking so much about what we've got to do here," Singletary said after his team wrapped up organized team activities for the week.
" ... The Michael Vick situation will take care of itself, some way, somehow. But I just need to make sure that every bit of thought and time that we have goes into what we have here."
Vick was released this week after serving 19 months in a Leavenworth, Kan., prison for financing a dogfighting ring. He will remain in federal custody and spend the final two months of a 23-month sentence in home confinement.
His last NFL game was in 2006, and he would need to be reinstated by Commissioner Roger Goodell before rejoining the leagu...
