Looks like we might have another Big Papi coming up the ranks. See this video and GIF of a little Papi (David Ortiz's nephew), swinging a bat just like his uncle. Hilariousness ensues, as he nails Papi right where the sun don't shine. Should the Red Sox just sign him now? I think so.
This ladies and gentleman is why cups were invented.

The Red Sox beat the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night to advance to the American League Championship Series, but that came after a pretty inauspicious start to the evening for designated hitter David Ortiz.
The Boston slugger took some time out of his pregame preparations to pitch some batting practice to a youngster hanging out at the field behind the batting cage. Ortiz underhand...
This is a fun video shot by the Globe's Peter Abraham during batting practice on Sunday. David Ortiz starts hitting with an aluminum bat and just slams one after another into the stands. Reportedly, he did this eight times in a row. Note Tom Petty's "Free Falling" playing in the background. It couldn't be a more appropriate song in my opinion.
David Ortiz was the victim of every father’s nightmare when they are teaching their son how to play baseball. Getting smacked right in the nuts with an unexacting line drive.
This Vine was posted by the Boston Red Sox and it happened during batting practice of Game 4 of the ALDS in Tampa.
The kid completely mashes the last hit.

This clip is strait out of America’s Funniest Home Videos. As you can see here, David Ortiz is pitching a little batting practice for his nephew. The Ortiz family tradition of batting left handed continues, and maybe his long ball capabilities too. The nephew swings for the fences and sends one straight for the nether region, sending the Red Sox’s $14 million star to the ground...
Before last night’s game, Big Papi was enjoying some quality time with his son. Ortiz was throwing his kid some soft toss, and let’s just say little Big Papi has some pop in his bat.
Check out this hysterical video of Big Papi’s kid hitting a line drive right into his groin.

The Boston Red Sox are one of the wilder teams in baseball. After they beat the Tampa Bay Rays 3-1 in Game 4 of the ALDS to clinch a berth into the ALCS, you knew they would be partying hard. But nobody was prepared for the scene we saw inside the clubhouse. Reliever Koji Uehara […]
David Ortiz and Dustin Pedroia say they don’t talk about their relationship, but short of heading down the street from Fenway Park and buying best friend bracelets, they’ve done everything else to show how close they are.
Ortiz and Pedroia took a break from their laser focus on the next task at hand, the American League Championship Series, to talk with Peter Abraham of The Boston...
The Red Sox just shut the front door on the Rays and moved on to the ALCS and I'm not sure my smile could get any bigger. Well, that's what I thought until I saw this.
David Ortiz doesn't just crush it out of the ballpark, he crushes it on the dance floor too. The man has MOVES. Watch Big Papi break it down in this new CapriSun commercial. Look at that BUTT...
The Boston Red Sox are headed to the American League Championship Series following a 3-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Tuesday night. A year after finishing in last place, the AL East champion Red Sox
The Boston Red Sox gathered at David Ortiz's house for a barbeque and to watch Justin Verlander finish off the Oakland Athletics in the playoffs.
They know they won't have to face him in Game 1 of the AL championship series.
Instead, they get the league's ERA champion, Anibal Sanchez. Followed by the major league leader in wins, Max Scherzer. And then comes Verlander...
What happens if they win the ALCS? Over the pants hand-job?
David Ortiz and closer Koji Uehara had a very aggressive/sexual way to celebrate their 2013 ALDS victory over the Tampa Bay Rays.
The post Red Sox Just Dry-Humped Each Other Celebrating ALDS Victory appeared first on Ride The Pine.
There will be just one Game 5 in the American League Division Series after the Tigers rallied to beat the A's 8-6. The winner of this series will be heading to Boston after the Red Sox beat the Rays 3-1 to send Tampa packing from this year's Postseason.

Yesterday, I wrote an article about who I thought NEEDED to step up in the ALCS. Today, I'll give you my 3 players that I KNOW will step up in the ALCS.
David Ortiz: The only guy on the team that was here for 2004 and 2007 championships. This goes without saying, but Red Sox Nation can count on Big...
Good As Gone? It's been a rough week for David Price. Not only was he knocked around by the Red Sox last Saturday (including two HRs by David Ortiz), but his TWITTER rants after the game have been vilified far and wide. Now, Price is getting all cranky about the likelihood that he will be shipped out of Tampa this off-season by the cost-conscious Rays. Just as his former teammates...
