Brandon University, a Canadian instituition, has this thing they do in which students attempt a half-court shot to win scholarship money. On Friday, BU student Mason Kaluzniak scored the grand prize after nailing the improbable shot attempt. Well, kind of.Kaluzniak will get credit for the make, but it was really Bobcats head coach Gil Cheung who chucked up the heave for him. Apparently, the school allows such a substitution, which is great for Kaluzniak because now the young man has part of his schooling paid for.As The Big Lead points out, the top prize is much better than the consolation prize: a $50 gift certificate to a local restaurant.
