Johnathan Franklin had a huge day (28 carries, 160 yards and 2 touchdowns) as the UCLA Bruins beat USC in the battle of LA. After scoring the final touchdown for UCLA, Franklin, rightfully so, was given an excessive celebration for his throat slash gesture.
Yesterday UCLA won the battle of Los Angeles as they handed it to Matt Barkley and former preseason number one USC (let that marinade for a second). Jonathan Franklin sealed the deal with this sweet TD run followed by a throat slash. Gus Johnson caps it all off with a call of “U-C-L-A” as Franklin gives the gesture.
The throat slash is one of my favorite “post play” gestures...
UCLA freshman Shabazz Muhammad is eligible to play for the Bruins men's basketball immediately, the NCAA announced Friday.
Muhammad, a 6-foot-6 swingman from Las Vegas who was listed by many as the nations top high men's basketball school recruit, is expected to travel with UCLA to New York on Saturday for its games in the Legends Classic tournament.
