The Rap Sheet:
Bill Belichick is spending the weekend at the Pebble Beach pro-am, as we’ve discussed before. What’s amazing is, his team (including pro Ricky Barnes) made the cut. Not bad. The Patriots coach walked for three days with Alabama coach Nick Saban, and afterward, Saban, Belichick and his hoodie chatted with the CBS crew. Belichick described “a tough couple of days” but called Pebble Beach “a great spot to take your mind off some of the other problems we have.” Check out this video from CBS Sports:

Golf has helped Bill Belichick take his mind of another Super Bowl loss
New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick said this week that being able to play in this weekend’s pro-am tournament at Pebble Beach was a good thing, since it helped him get his mind off of last Sunday’s Super Bowl loss to the Giants.
“It’s been tough,” Belichick said. “It’s a tough couple days, but Pebble Beach is a great spot to take your mind off some...
Patriots Way headed down rocky path
Bill Belichick, in the aftermath of yet another Super Bowl letdown at the hands of the New York Giants, should contemplate the following two questions. Patriots fans should hope he takes the second one as seriously as the first.
1. What went wrong in Super Bowl XLVI that again cost him, his star quarterback and his team another notch at even more lasting greatness?
2. What went...
Do the Patriots' belong with the best?
Every NFL dynasty must end. The cruelties of age, finances of free agency and emergence of other superpowers eventually finish them. This is the reality the New England Patriots.
After the Patriots lost Super Bowl XLVI to the New York Giants, head coach Bill Belichick was not in the mood to discuss anything but the game itself, and even that was a brief affair. He stared straight...
Bill Belichick: “Make Them Go To Manningham”
Bill Belichick dared the New York Giants to throw to Mario Manningham and paid the price. Before the Giants’ game-winning drive in Super Bowl XLVI, the New England Patriots coach told his team not to get beat by receivers Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks.
“This is still a Cruz-and-Nicks game,” Belichick was heard saying in audio recorded for NFL Films. “I know...
Patriots to try and sign Mario Williams?
Eric Edholm of Pro Football Weekly believes Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots could try and sign Houston Texans defensive end/linebacker Mario Williams once he becomes a free agent on March 13th.
I honestly don’t see Belichick going after Williams, since he was still able to get a solid pass rush this season with Mark Anderson, Vince Wilfork and Andre Carter. And...

If NFLers were 'Star Wars' characters
This weekend nerds (including myself) around the world will be headed back to the theatre for Star Wars. Star Wars episode one is back in theatres this weekend but this time new and improved and in 3D. Although everyone and their weird friend who dresses up like Chewbacca considers the Phantom Menace a huge disappointment, there is no doubt the Star Wars movies are an experience...

27. Janoris Jenkins, CB North Alabama
If North Alabama cornerback Janoris Jenkins is sitting here at 27th overall, then Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots will certainly pull the trigger.
Jenkins...
Bobby Valentine Enjoyed His Super Bowl Trip, Anticipates a Visit from Bill Belichick in Fort Myers
BOSTON –– Bobby Valentine helplessly watched as Patriots quarterback Tom Brady's last heave in Super Bowl XLVI fell to the ground. Having cultivated a friendship with Patriots coach Bill Belichick over the past two months, the Red Sox manager couldn't completely enjoy his Super Bowl trip to Indianapolis last weekend. "It was real quick in and out," Valentine...
