Yes everyone, I miss football too. I want to see James Harrison absolutely rock someone. I want to see Denard Robinson break someone’s ankles and fly to the end zone. I want to see Drew Brees in the middle of the Saints huddle getting pumped up. The list goes on and on, but at the end of the day, none of us will be able to watch football until late next August. In the mean time the NBA, MLB, and college basketball will have to do, but are these the only options? The answer is no, and I’m definitely not telling you to watch NASCAR.

Give the NHL a chance to fill the hole in your heart created by the lack of hard hitting in the previously mentioned sports. I mean think about it, if LeBron took a swing at Kobe, he would be suspended for at least five games and face criticism for how he can’t control his temper. In hockey, a fight means a standing ovations, an appearance on Sports Center, high fives from your teammates, all for the small price of sitting in a box for five minutes…

That brings us to this week’s Video of the Week, which involves Zdeno Chara absolutely destroying a helpless soul that for some bizarre reason, decided to fight him. The 6’9 (off skates) Chara is a force to be reckoned with, and dishes out some of the deadliest hits allowed in sports. At this year’s All-Star game, Chara set the record for blasting a slap shot at an unheard of 108.8 miles per hour.

Chara is one of the few players you may not have heard of that make hockey as brutal and exciting as it is. I’m not saying watching hockey is better than football by any means, all I’m saying is give hockey a chance, because it may just provide that physicality your missing while football is not in season. Yes, I know Sidney Crosby is still hurt and his future is still in question, but trust me, there are other players who will have you sitting on the edge of your seat.

42 Shots? May as well be shots of piss. BRUINS LOSE.

Jesus ******* Christ. You know, it's easy to tell people it's not time to panic when your team is currently in first place in their division and second place in the Eastern Conference, but when you see a game like last night it's hard to justify why not to panic. The Bruins are hockey's equivalent to Sybil. They'll play an amazing game of hockey one night and...
