PLAYERS: Serena Williams
Have you ever accidentally smacked yourself in the face? It’s embarrassing even when nobody sees it. Well, Serena Williams did it in front of a captive audience at the Australian Open. Of course, those in attendance probably didn’t realize what happened except those sitting behind the baseline. Unfortunately for her, the TV cameras were rolling But giving herself a fat lip didn’t stop her from winning the match in 2 sets. It was just a little uncomfortable. She also took it in stride: Lip is better. A bit swollen. But I love this new look. If I had known I would it myself in the face a long time ago. People pay for this! — Serena Williams (@serenawilliams) January 17, 2013
