Vince Wilfork had a successful surgery on his Achilles tendon today and his wife Bianca had tweeted a picture of Big Vince giving a thumbs up signal to show that he's doing alright.
Vince himself took the time to compose a note to everyone who sent him words of encouragement. He posted it as a tweet on his twitter page, along with the message, "Just trying to get my thoughts out." Here's what Vince had to say:
A great message from a big heart. While it will be next to impossible for the Patriots to replace Vince Wilfork on the field, the Pats will still be able to have Vince be a leader and teacher for the defense off of it. He may not be in uniform but the Patriots can still greatly benefit from having Wilfork around.
Here's to this being Vince's last major surgery and we all look forward to seeing him back on the field.
