Now that basketball season is over, many Hokie fans have turned their attention to counting down the days until football season. While the season opener against Boise State is more than six months away, the Hokies’ annual Maroon vs. White game (i.e. the spring game) is less than a month away.
In fact, Virginia Tech opens their spring 2010 practice schedule next week, beginning Wednesday, March 31. Of the 15 sessions scheduled, three are open to the public. Scrimmages will be held on Saturday, April 10 at 11 a.m. and again the following Saturday, April 17, also at 11 a.m. Both scrimmages will be played at Lane Stadium and are free to the public, however, video cameras will not be allow.
The final session open to the public is obviously the spring game on Saturday, April 24, at 2 p.m. Admission is free, but fans are usually encouraged to donate canned goods at the entrances. The food drive helps support local food pantries.
