Octagon officials might be thrilled Vitor Belfort manned up to face light heavyweight king Jon Jones (Pictured) at UFC 152, but the Gambling Gods profess “The Phenom” shouldn’t even bother showing up on September 22nd.
If you thought Jones was a significant favorite to dispose of Dan Henderson at UFC 151 as a 7.5-to-1 odds-on favorite, “Bones” is pegged as more than a 9-to-1 favorite to throttle the former 205-pound champion in Canada.
Belfort, meanwhile, checks in as a -625 longshot.
UFC 152 takes place inside Air Canada Centre in Toronto.
Here are the early lines for Jones vs. Belfort (Courtesy of BetOnFighting.com):

It’s not very often a fan of MMA is carrying around a Minnie Mouse stuffed animal, right? Victor Belfort is a bad man, but looks like a big softy posing with this young lady. I’m ready to watch Victor do some smashing in the octagon sooner, rather than later.

UFC 151 is cancelled and the blame for this has been placed squarely on the shoulders of the UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Bones Jones. While it is easy to vilify Jones, is the champion being used as a scapegoat by the real man responsible for this mess, Dana White?

UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones turned down a UFC 151 scrap against Chael Sonnen because he felt eight days was not enough time to prepare for the former middleweight top contender. That ultimately opened the window for Lyoto Machida (Pictured) to step in and co-headline UFC 152 opposite Jones.
However, less than 12 hours after UFC president Dana White announced Jones vs. Machida...
