WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Pitchers Trent Allianic and Garrett Tygerson have signed contracts to play for the Walla Walla Sweets this season. Allianic, was a member of the 2011 East Division Championship team, and Tygerson played for the Wenatchee Applesox last season. Both will be returning for another season of West Coast League baseball.

Allianic, a 6-foot, 190-pound right handed pitcher, is originally from Koloa, Kauai, and will be a sophomore at Ohlone College. He is a transfer from the University of Hawaii where in 2010, as a freshman, he made five appearances for the Warriors. He red-shirted his second season, before heading to Walla Walla for the 2011 season. Allianic lead his Kauai High School team to the Hawaii State Championship in 2008 and received All-State Honorable Mention honors. Last season for the Sweets, Allianic went 2-2 with a 2.56 ERA, striking out 25 and walking only nine batters over 38.2 innings.
