The 2015 Winter Classic has been awarded to the Washington Capitals, as reported by the Washington Post. The official announcement is expected to come on Saturday morning from the team's majority owner Ted Leonsis.  A location for the event hasn't been determined yet, but a few options include Nationals Park (home of the Washington Nationals), FedEx Field (home of the Washington Redskins) RFK Stadium (home of D.C. United) or Camden Yards (home of the Baltimore Orioles).  The Capitals competed against the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2011 Winter Classic, winning by a score of three to one.
