Robinson Cano made his first trip to Yankee Stadium since he signed a 10 year, $240 million deal with the Seattle Mariners in the offseason.
New York fans greeted Cano the same way that many of the players the Yankees have signed away from other teams have been greeted – with boos upon boos.
There were not many people in the crowd tonight but most of the crowd gave Cano a standing boo-vation, or as I like to call it, the “A-Rod cheer”.
There were a few Yankees fans cheering for their former second baseman and there were even a few Mariners fans in the scarce crowd.
