Who is doing the hiring of our new coaching staff, Hue Jackson or Al Davis? If Hue is doing the hiring, he is getting philosophical with hiring all of the past players as coaches. The hiring of Rod Woodsen, Steve Wisniewski and the promotion of Greg Biekert may be Hue’s way of getting the nation on his side. Who doesn’t love seeing all the past great Raiders on the side lines? From Willie Brown to Fred Beletnikoff, Al and the nation love to honor Raider legends of the past that’s why I’m inclined to think that Al doing the hiring. Al loves to keep “his Raiders” close to him. He is the most possessive owner in the league. Once a Raider, always a Raider. If you left the organization in good standings, Al has a spot for you. Whether it’s on the side lines, as an “advisor” or maybe a peanut vendor, Al got you.
No matter who hired these Raider greats, my concern is the coaching experience they bring, which is basically none! I hope their many years of winning and knowledge will substitute for their lack of coaching experience. I hope their winning ways will help bring us back to glory to the Bay.
