When The Jaguars Have The Ball:
All the pregame buzz will be about stopping Maurice Jones-Drew, and The Seahawks certainly must be able to limit his production. However, I submit that it will be Jacksonville's other hyphenated hellion, Mike Sims-Walker, who will give the Seahawks more trouble. The Seahawks' run defense, with Brandon Mebane as its greatest contributor, is capable of making sure MJD doesn't hurt us too badly. However, even with the return of Josh Wilson, the Seahawks' secondary is still banged up, and Mike Sims-Walker has proven to be David Garrard's most consistent target. Hopefully the Seahawks can stop the downfield passing game without forgetting about Jacksonville's dangerous running back.
When The Seahawks Have The Ball:
All eyes will be on Matt Hasselbeck, who once again bears the hopes of our season. These last three weeks have proven again that the Seahawks are not a playoff contender with Seneca Wallace at the helm. Hasselbeck must prove to all of us that he can still make the throws he used to make and that he isn't so fragile as to be totally unreliable. The Jaguars pass defense has been poor this year, so Hasselbeck has no excuse for a poor game. The running game can help out with this by getting four or five yards a carry and keeping Hasselbeck's job easy. John Carlson must regain his position in this offense as he has all but disappeared with Wallace at QB.
Prediction: Seahawks 31, Jaguars 24
