Found September 22, 2009 on MVN:
Hey! My name is Benjamin Richardson and I am new here on MVN.com. I've been blogging for a few years now; I started out on my Facebook page and then actually started a blog earlier this year. Pretty much all my posts have been about sports and most of those posts have been about the NBA. Last month, I was contacted about joining the writers on MVN and a few e-mails later and I was added to Celtics 17, which I was told was one of the leading Celtics blogs on the site. Needless to say, I jumped at the opportunity. So here I am.I am currently a junior in college (technically a sophomore since two of my classes didn't transfer) and I don't currently have a major. When I do pick one, I think it will be a double major in education and history. Normally I wouldn't mess with teaching, but I'm told that having the degree helps with getting a job coaching basketball, which is what I want to do when I get done with school. I got into basketball way back when I was in second grade and can't really imagine doing anything not having to do with the sport. My favorite teams in the NBA are the San Antonio Spurs, Boston Celtics, Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and Indiana Pacers. I know that's probably a lot of teams to like at one time, but I don't just leave a team when I find another that I like. There are other teams I enjoy watching, but these are my favorites. As it happens, none of them are big rivals of the Celtics and I'm not a big trash-talker, so I don't think there will be any problems there. And, as you can probably imagine and relate with, I do not like the Los Angeles Lakers or Cleveland Cavaliers at all. I plan on being an active contributor to Celtics 17. I always have something to say about trades or coaching changes. If I watch a game that is particularly exciting, I'll write about it. If someone in or around the NBA says something I disagree with or think is totally absurd, I'll sound off on it. I'm your typical NBA fanatic with a blog. But I'll keep this introduction brief because I don't want to go on and on talking about myself. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Here's the link to my blog, Squingy.net if you want to take a look. You won't find anything different there than what I post here, unless it's non-sports related. I'm glad to be here and I look forward for writing for Celtics 17 this season.
