Today, the Cleveland Cavaliers officially announced the signing of G Anthony Parker to a two-year deal for half of the mid-level exception. The deal gives the Cavaliers another solid outside shooter at about forty percent from three-point range. At 6'6'', Parker also provides length which will help defensively when closing out on shooters. He brings a high basketball IQ and clutch shooting along with underrated athleticism for someone who is 34-years-old. With the roster, Parker is expected to either be a starter at SG or the Cavaliers' first man off the bench, competing with incumbent Delonte West for the starting job. Parker, in three seasons with Toronto, was a great contributor, averaging double-figure points and over one steal per game. In his career, he has made many clutch shots and was renown for his decent perimeter defense, a la Bruce Bowen.
