By no means do I intend to disparage the integrity, knowledge and professionalism of the announcers, color commentators, etc. who cover the National Hockey League in its many markets, but few would argue NHL broadcasters typically exceed the all-out, near-manic passion routinely displayed by their soccer-covering counterparts throughout the world.

Which is what makes this video featuring NHL highlights, only instead of the original — albeit entertaining in its own right, I’m sure — commentary from hockey announcers, the video is overdubbed with soccer calls that match up near-perfectly with what is occurring on the ice.

Brilliantly executed and supremely entertaining. Well done.
